Why learn a new language? Learning a new language not only helps you communicate with people from another country, that's the obvious part,
it helps you understand their culture and way of life. Sometimes it even forces you to be more aware of your native tongue's grammar!
The number of home-schooled students through grade 12 increased from 850,000 in 1999 to about 1.1 million in 2003. The number as a percentage of all students- 1999 1.7%, 2003 2.2%.
