Lessons Unlimited was founded in 2001 as an independent community music school in St. Louis, Missouri. We built our program with a singular vision in mind; to provide a high quality music education program for our community with a strong focus on accessibility and convenience for our customers.

A Convenient, Safe, High Quality Music Education Provider
We started small; teaching music lessons to a handful of students at a single partner location with a committed faculty of talented instructors from the former St. Louis Symphony Music School. Our presence in the St. Louis community has grown substantially over the years, an undoubted result of our genuine love of teaching the musical arts, and our passion and commitment to passing along this gift. Lessons Unlimited has since served thousands of students from our partner locations throughout the St. Louis Metro Area.
Our hope is to have the opportunity to open the wonderful world of music for each of our students in order to leave them with the life long gifts of musical performance, a more profound appreciation for the arts, and the cognitive benefits that come from the study of music.

Lessons Unlimited is committed to providing an excellent learning experience for our students, and a big part of that is the people that we bring on as our faculty members.
It seems pretty common sense that somebody who claims to be a teacher should have a level of knowledge in their subject that is greater than most other people’s, but sadly this is not the case with many “teachers” or music learning centers. There are a lot of people who have learned or taught themselves to play a few chords and songs, and they assume they are qualified to teach music.
Calling yourself a music teacher is one thing, but being a music teacher is entirely another. Our faculty members spend years learning both their instrument and how to teach it. We have an extensive interview process with each faculty member to assess, and verify their qualifications. We only invite instructors that demonstrate expert level skill in their instrument, and posess a high aptitude for pedagogy to join our music school and become part of our faculty.

We know how big a responsibility and a privilege it is to be entrusted with another person’s child, and it is a privilege we don’t take lightly. Safety is always at the forefront of our mind. We have deliberately developed relationships with our partner instruction sites to be in safe, well respected community destinations.
We require every single member of our faculty and staff to undergo a thorough federal and state background screening. Before a faculty member is ever even hired, we have taken strong measures to make certain that the people we hope to trust are in fact the right people to trust with our students.
