Payment and Attendance Policy

Registration Policy

Lessons must be signed up for on a per semester basis, with an exception for new-to-Lessons Unlimited families, who may request a trial of 1-2 lessons with a new instructor. We do not offer by the week or by the month lesson registration options.

Payment Policy

During Fall and Spring semesters only:

  •  If you have chosen to leave an open balance at the time of registration, the outstanding balance must be paid in full within  30 days of the initial registration. Any remaining open balance will be charged a 3% compounding monthly finance charge.
  •  A minimum payment of 50% of the semester’s tuition as well as the annual registration fee (if applicable) is due immediately upon registration.

Summer semester payment is due in full at the time of registration.

Lessons Unlimited reserves the right to suspend a student’s lessons until payment has been received per the policies listed above.

Attendance Policy

Regular attendance at lessons, classes, and rehearsals is expected. Students are charged for all lessons, classes, and ensembles for which they register, including those missed due to student absence.

Please notify your instructor, as a courtesy, in advance of your scheduled lesson time in the event that absence becomes necessary.

For individual lessons:

  • Private instructors reserve a weekly lesson time for each student. This time slot is a perishable commodity, and any missed lesson due to student absence will not be made up. Tuition will not be refunded/credited for missed lessons.
  • An exception to our no makeup policy can be made when a student absence is a result of an anticipated religious observance, and the teacher has been notified at least 1 week in advance of the holiday absence. In such instances, Lessons Unlimited will permit one makeup lesson per semester for each subject enrolled.

For group classes/rehearsals:

  • Classes or rehearsals missed due to student absence will not be rescheduled, and there will be no refund/credit of tuition.

Students who are unable to attend lessons or classes due to an ongoing physical/health problem of 3 weeks or more are eligible to request a credit or refund for lessons or classes missed as a result of illness with a corroborating physician’s note.

In the event that your instructor cancels a lesson or class, a make-up lesson will be offered at a mutually convenient time. Your instructor is required to offer at least two reasonable makeup lesson times for you to choose from.

If a student misses a previously agreed upon make up lesson/class, it will not be rescheduled.

If a student’s lessons are suspended as a result of incomplete payment any lessons missed will not be made up, refunded, or credited.
